Q + A

When should I fly to Romania?

We recommend flying out so that you arrive 2 days before the wedding and have time to get used to the time zone change.

When should I book my hotel?

At the earliest you can book January or February 2026. However if you choose to book later that is fine there will still be lots of hotels options available closer to the date.

How do I travel to Sinaia?

First take a flight to Bucharest. From there, you can take train, a bus, private transport or rent a car. Please refer to the Travel Tab for more information.

What can I do in Romania?

Please refer to the Things To Do tab for more information. If you have any additional questions please reach out to Richard or Natasha.

What is the weather in Sinaia like during August?

August in Sinaia is summer at its mountain-chic best—warm days, cool nights, and just enough rain to keep the forests fresh. Pack your sunglasses and maybe a light rain jacket, just in case! Sinaia in August is a delightful blend of sunshine and alpine charm. Daytime highs average around 24°C (75°F), perfect for hiking, castle-hopping, or sipping coffee with a view. Nights dip to a crisp 13°C (55°F), so a cozy sweater won’t go amiss.

Is there a gift registry?

No we do not have a gift registry as we cannot transport many gifts back to Cyprus.

Why can't I find my invitation on the RSVP page?

Please input your full or first name as written on the envelope of your physical invitation. If you continue to encounter trouble accessing the RSVP page, please reach out to the wedding party for further assistance.

Do I need to RSVP for my families/plus-ones individually?

You will have the option to "Add Guests" on the RSVP page. The page will also collect every individual guest's email addresses for meal choices in the coming months.

What hotels do you recommend?

Please refer to Travel Tab to see our recommendations.

What is the dress code?

Ready to dazzle under the twinkling lights of Casino Sinaia? Our Black Tie event is your chance to go all out! Polish those cufflinks, flaunt those dazzling gowns and shine with us on this fabulous night. Not sure what to wear for a Black Tie event? Check out some examples for inspirations here.

Do I need to wear something different to the church?

The wedding ceremony will take place in an orthodox church, and we would appreciate our guests to have church appropriate attires to reflect the sanctity of worship by keeping shoulders and knees covered. The reception will be regular black tie attire.
